Bonne Annee!

Hi Friends!

I am just stopping by to wish you all a wonderful New Years Eve!

I've been a little quiet on the blog, enjoying my time off, and catching up on too much Vampire Diaries, reading blogs, and spending time with my hubby!

However, to my surprise, I checked my blog this morning, and saw that I officially have 100 followers! yay!

This means a lot to me, because I know I am not the most consistent blogger.
But I do want to take the time and say Thank You to all of you for reading this little blog of mine!
Your comments are always SO appreciated, and I am grateful for all of you!

With that said.
I am looking forward to a night of good foods, champagne, and celebrating a brand New Year ahead of us!

Bonne Annee Friends!!

Fill in the Blank Friday

1. New Years is the chance for a fresh start. It does not mean that you've had a bad year, but I love that feeling of knowing I get to start fresh...kind of like a blank page.

2. One of my New Year's resolutions will be to be ok with putting myself, and my husband first. I tend to live through my parents too much, and I am not able to be OK with the fact I don't always have to make decisions based off how they feel.

3. A New Year's resolution I've made in the past was to worry less. I'm sad to admit that I have completely failed.

4. The most time consuming resolution I ever made was losing ten pounds for our wedding. I did it, but now that I am married, I have been way too lazy. Gotta get back in shape.

5. This year I will be spending New Year's Eve with Michael'a brothers and their wives, and of course our little nephew Davis. The six of us are so lucky to be so close.

6. If I could wish one thing for my new year it would be to relax, and enjoy life for the present. I feel like I am constantly chasing something.

7. 2012 is going to be a year of good, and adult changes. New jobs, hopefully a house, and who knows....maybe a little Peanut at the end of all this :)

Happy New Year Friends!!
May 2012 bring you everything you wish for, and more!

Music Tuesday

Tuesdays, in my opinion, are the most boring day of the week.
It always seems to be the longest work day.
And the weekend is still so far away.

Today is just like your typical Tuesday at work.
Except it's a Holiday week, so it is even more quiet.
And I'm struggling.
I have not accomplished much.

Have any of you heard of Lana Del Rey?
Her song Video Games popped on my Pandora a couple of months ago.
Then I heard it again at the end of a Gossip Girl episode.
During a major Chuck/Blair scene.
I fell in love all over again.

I hope you enjoy it!

Wedding Pics: the ceremony

Happy Christmas week Friends!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend getting ready for the big weekend!
We had a nice and relaxing weekend, with no plans, and a little bit of shopping.

So, today I am sharing the ceremony part of our wedding pictures.
I've tried to narrow it down to my favorites pictures.
But it wasn't easy.
I love them all!

Have a great day ladies!

Fill in the Blank Friday

Happy Friday Friends!

Today we find out our exact job end date.
I should be more upset, or stressed out.
I've processed the news, and accepted it.
I've just decided not to worry about it until the holidays are over!

 I can't believe Christmas is basically a week away, and I still have some shopping to do!
I will be that person adventuring myself in the stores this weekend, battling with the last minute crazy peeps out there.
Oh well - I've never been an early shopper anyways.
And call me crazy, but I love the Holiday shopping madness!

Here are your FITB Friday, courtesy of Lauren

1.   My most favorite "little thing" is   getting that first Holiday Starbucks, with those pretty red cups! I feel like it kicks off the Holiday season!

2.   I give anything to go to France for the Holidays!  LOVE Paris at Christmas time, and I would love to spend it with my Grandmother.

3.  I can't believe  I find out what my job end date is today.  I guess it's still kind of crazy over here, but after those letters, everything will be "real."

4. The one thing I'd like to achieve today is  going grocery shopping with Michael. Not your ideal Friday thing, but we seriously have nothing to eat right now!

5.  The last thing I want to do today is   work.  I seriously have ZERO motivation.  Hence why I am blogging right now instead of working!

6.  If I were writing my own blank today, it would say:  what is the one thing you secretly hate during the Holidays, but wouldn't admit to anyone!?

7.  My favorite candle scent is  there is no way I can just pick one, because it changes during the seasons!  Right now I would say Fresh Balsam from Bath and Body Works!

Have a GREAT weekend lovelies!!!

Wedding Pics: the details

Happy Tuesday Lovelies!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far.
Can I just admit that I have mentally checked out since the big announcement?

It's tough to stay motivated when you know your job is ending soon.
I'm holding up well, and I have started looking around for new opportunities.

We shall see!

~~~~~~~~
We  got our professional wedding pictures a few weeks ago.
All 844 of them!
It's been so hard to go through and pick the ones we like the most.
I love them all!
Our wedding took place at Sandy Springs Heritage, which is an outdoor historic park.
I posted pictures back when we first booked it.
I fell in love with the venue the second I stepped foot in it, and I have to say that I was more than happy with the results!
Our wedding day turned out amazing.
Here are a few glimpses from our big day, starting with some of my favorite details.
each table had its own arrangement
Bride and Bridesmaids bouquets
something old, something new, something blue
Next up, the ceremony :)
A Holiday Curveball
A week ago, I posted about being so happy.
It was December 1st, the holidays were here, and I felt like everything was going just great.
That was Thursday morning when I got to work.
Then we had our quarterly meeting at work at 11am.
Within ninety seconds, we found out Wendy's decided to move their operations back to Ohio.
Mid to late 2012 was the time line given.
Way to wish your employees a Merry Christmas, Wendy's!
If your idea of a Holiday gift is to tell 200 employees that they are losing their jobs, then you have succeeded in putting a damper of everyone's holiday season.
I won't hide that it has been a rough week for everyone.
So many questions, so much uncertainty.
Where to next?
I am dreading the process of looking for a new job, dealing with recruiters, and going to interviews.
I guess this is life's way of throwing me a curve ball, because everything was going too well.
I am taking this as a sign, maybe the push I needed to get out there and find a new and better opportunity.
I am ready for a new challenge, and for a promotion!
So, bring it on 2012. I am ready for you!
Christmas Wish List
Happy December Friends!!!
It is officially the month leading up to Christmas, and I am in the best of moods!
To celebrate December 1st, I treated myself to a Peppermint Mocha (skinny), and I am listening to Michael Buble's Christmas album on Spotify.
Life is good.
And since holiday season is in full swing, I figured I would share my Christmas Wish List with you ladies!
Michael and I talked about gifts this year, and considering we spent a lot money on our wedding, we decided to go with a $100-$150 limit.
I thought about it, and I could get tons of clothes at F21, candles, goodies from Target; or get one or two nicer things.
I chose the second option.
Here are my top three gift wishes.
Henri Bendel, White Pepper and Tuberose Perfume - $65.
Philosophy, Pure Grace lotion - $41
If you haven't tried this lotion before, give it a chance.  You will fall in love!
LaMer collections, Soho Oval wrap around watch - $90.
I've talked about these watches on the blog before, and I have been wanting one for so long!
And because a girl can dream, and if we did not have a budget, this would be the only gift I would wish for!
March by Marc Jacobs "Classic Q" satchel in Gray - $448.
You know, to match the LaMer watch!
After purchasing my first Marc by Marc purse earlier this year, I have fallen in love with these purses.  I want every style, in every color!
Can I just please oh PLEASE win the lottery!?
What is on YOUR Wish List?!
Music Tuesdays
Tuesdays are my least favorite day of the work week.  They always seem to drag, and the weekend still feels so far away.
How was everyone's Thanksgiving?!
Unfortunately I did not take pictures, but I can say we had a wonderful Thanksgiving, followed by a relaxing couple of days with family.
It was so nice to be in town, and not have anything to do.  It made the break feel longer than usual.
I did not adventure myself in the crazy Black Friday early crowds, but I did manage to go to Target, and get a couple of DVDs.
I was able to get all six seasons of Sex and the City for $7.99 each.
What a steal!
We also got the second season of Modern Family.
And....and iPad 2!
Better late than never, right!?
We had been talking about getting rid off one of our laptops and replace it with an iPad.
Because anything Apple is just cool.  And since we are stuck with t-mobile for another year, we can't get iPhones yet.
Let me just tell you that the iPad is probably one of the coolest thing I've ever owned.
I can't stop playing with it.
I told Michael we needed to support Steve Jobs's legacy in one of my many convincing arguments.
Legit, right?!
Either way, we got it, and I love it!
Now onto this week's choice for Music Tuesday.
I didn't even have to think about this one, because I woke with the song stuck in my head.
The song is called Welcome Home, by Radical Face.
I first heard in on a Nikon commercial. Not the Ashton Kutcher ones, but while streaming the French radio at work.
This is the type of song that immediately puts me in a good mood as soon as I hear it.
I hope you like it!
Let me know what you think!
Have a great Tuesday, blogger friends :)
Thanksgiving Thankfulness
I've only been celebrating Thanksgiving for a few years, but  it has become one of my most favorite holidays.
Maybe it is because it falls during my favorite season/time of year.
Or maybe it is because I just love any excuse to get everyone together.
Growing up in France, I never really knew what Thanksgiving was, or what it meant.
My side of the family gets together for a big dinner, but I don't think it means as much as it does to people who were born and raised in America.
So when I go to Michael's parents, I still feel like I am watching and all-American movie.
His mom goes all out with the Fall decorations, and the food is always amazing.
I love the couple of days off work, and how everyone just seems to be in the best mood.
It's the best way to kick off the Holidays if you ask me.
I don't really enjoy going shopping, and getting into the madness of black Friday.
But, my yearly guilty pleasure is to go to Target, and shop for DVDs.
Yes, I like collecting DVDs.
And at $5 and $10 for new releases, and TV shows box sets, I just cannot resist!
So in all my Thanksgiving thankfulness, here are the things I am thankful for:
the important things:
-the most beautiful wedding a girl could ask for, shared with the most amazing husband, Michael.
-good health, a good job, food on the table, and a roof over our heads.
-my wonderful parents who no matter what gets in their way, always seem to stay positive, and to keep me grounded.
-my brothers David and Kevin, and my niece and nephews, Sara, Jake and Davis.
-my new in-laws, as well as Michael's brothers and their wives.  there are not enough words to express how thankful I am for being a part of their family.
-great friends who made our wedding the most memorable day of our lives.
-my French family who traveled all the way from Paris to be a part of our big day.
-Michael's mother who went above and beyond with our wedding decorations.
-Betsy and Allison - the best Matrons of Honor a bride could ever ask for.
-my awesome bridesmaids, because I would not have made it through the wedding day without them.
-my Dad's beautiful speech at our wedding.
-my Mom recovering from her knee accident, and her walking again.
the every day life things (in no particular order):
-unlimited music on spotify.
-all the amazing gifts we received for our wedding, especially our kitchenaid!
-becoming a better cook for my husband.
-green tea.
-starbucks holiday drinks, and their cute red cups.
-my friend Amber, and our unconditional love for lazy days.
-facebook/twitter/blogspot.
-silly girly tv shows.
-my kindle.
-Fall season, and being able to wear boots and scarves everyday.
-thinking about getting a house next year.
-living 1.7 miles from work, and not having to worry about traffic - ever.
-Leo, James, Peanut and Jiggy (one day, I will explain).
-college football Saturdays.
-Falcons football.
I could probably write a novel just listing what I am thankful for this year, but I would say this sums up 2011 nicely.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving indulging in good foods, family time, and if you're from the South, college football of course :)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!
Music Tuesdays
In the spirit of getting back to 'normal', I figured I would re-instate the Music Tuesday posts.
It's been quite a while since the last, and I have come across a lot of good stuff.
I have to admit that even though Spotify has been my main source for new music lately, I actually discovered this band through the new abc show 'Revenge'.
Do you remember the Summer previews for the show?
There was a song played in the background, from a band called 'Angus & Julia Stone'.
They are brother and sister, from down under Australia.
The song is not new, but it's new to me nonetheless.
Their album is great, and I have listened to the whole thing on repeat a couple of times at work.
I love her voice, their lyrics, and their unique sound.
Unfortunately I could not find a video for the song, but here is the album version.
Angus & Julia Stone, For You.
Thoughts?!
