Fill in the Blank Friday

One week. 

One week away from the rehearsal dinner, from the most important weekend of our lives, from our wedding weekend. 

We are so close my friends, and I can't tell you how ready I am for the big day. 

Until then, I figured I'd treat yall to a Feel in the Blank Friday! 

 

1.   The most selfless thing I've ever done was   putting myself "aside" when my little brother was born.  There were complications with my mom's pregnancy, and Kevin was born prematurely (7.5months), and we knew he would have difficulties growing.  From then on, I always "made myself little" (French expression!), and tried to give my parents as little to worry about as possible so they could focus all their time/energy on Kevin.  Well worth it!

2.   When it comes to working out I don't exactly enjoy it, but I feel like something is missing when I stay a few days without going to the gym.  I like taking classes, and varying things so that I don't get bored doing the same thing all the time. 

3.  A woman should always take the time to take care of herself.  Whether a daughter, a girl friend, a Fiancee, a wife, or a mother.  It is important to take a step back, and take the time to pamper yourself/have some "you" time. 

4. I wish I could move back to Paris for a year and then I'd show Michael where I grew up, teach him French, and we go live as Parisiens for a while!

5.  A best friend is there for you no matter what. Who doesn't judge you, and who will drop whatever it is she is doing to help you out, to listen to you, and be there for you.  

6.  I can't get enough of  anything Fall related!!!

7.  This weekend I am finishing up last minute wedding preparations, and spending some time with Michael.  We decided to have a weekend "in", by ourselves :)

We are LESS than two weeks away from our wedding day - can you believe it!?

I went back and forth so much, trying to decide what we were going to do for our guest book. 

I wanted something that we could actually "see", and something that would be a little different. 

Well the idea itself, I kinda store from my sister-in-law Betsy, who did the same thing a few months ago for their guest book. I'd like to think that she was totally OK with it :) 

One of her best friends is the talented Natalie, over at NattyMichelle.  She also has a fabulous Etsy shop.

One of my favorite things she does are wedding maps.  I've mentioned it on the blog before, but I wanted to share with you the map she drew, and painted for Michael and I's big day! 

She did a FABULOUS job capturing the main events of our big day, along with adding a few touches that represent Michael and I.  I am obsessed! 

The idea is to get the map printed, and set on a large frame with a white mat all around for people to sign.  We can then frame it, and hand it wherever we like as a souvenir!  

I love it! 

It's Getting Close

Happy October Friends! 

This is it, we are officially getting married THIS month! Less than 20 days away, and the wedding nightmares have begun. 

Last night, I dreamed everyone left after the ceremony, and there were barely 20 people at the reception.  My dress was also a bright hot pink, with rhinestones everywhere.  

I'm not sleeping so well, I have tons on my mind, and I just feel like I have SO much left to do. 

It's all good stress though, because at the end of all this, I get to marry my best friend, and I can't wait! 

This past Saturday I had another Bridal Shower hosted by some of Michael's mother's friends.  It took place at his parent's house though, and it was beautiful.  The weather was a perfect Fall day - cool crisp and sunny.  

 

So here we are, three week countdown to the biggest day of our lives. 

I am nervous. I am happy.  I am overwhelmed.

I will be in and out these next couple of weeks, so forgive me in advance.  

There is a lot to be done, and so little time. 

It's also month-end close week at work, which basically means I will have no time for wedding planning this week.  Which stresses me out even more! 

I'm a mess - but a good mess!
